GEORGE L. TISDALE

Many years of experience in the accounting field have taught me that in addition to tax preparation, a good CPA should act as a trusted advisor in many aspects of personal financial planning. Building college funds, planning for retirement and creating estate plans are important areas in which your CPA should be involved.

In business, CPA's have generally been consulted for auditing services and advice on developing effective accounting systems, maximizing operating results, and resolving various management problems. Today, a CPA can be instrumental in designing and managing business information systems as well.

I write computer software applications, teach at Bentley College and nationally for Arthur Andersen & Company, and have been an active member of the Information Technology Committee of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants.
